Qualification : Professor :

•  As Associate Professor in the subject concerned for three years in the recognized medical college.

•  Minimum of four research publications in indexed / national journals as first author.

Or

Essential:

•  As reader/Associate Professor in the concerned Department for four years in a recognized medical college.

Desirable:

•  Minimum of four research publication indexed in index Medicus / National journal and one research publication in international journal.

Associate Professor:

Essential :

•  As Assistant Professor in the concerned subject for four years in the recognized medical college.

•  Minimum of two research publications in indexed / national journals as first author.

Or

Essential: 1. As Assistant Professor/Lecturer in the concerned Department for Five years in a recognized medical college.

Desirable: •  Minimum of four research publication indexed in index Medicus / National journal.

Tutor - Radiodiagnosis

1. MBBS degree from recognized institution and three years experience in the subject in a recognized Medical college as House Staff or MD in Radiodiagnosis from recognized Institution or PG Diploma in Radiodiagnosis and 1 year experience as House Staff.

Sr. Resident : Appointments will be given initially for a period of 1 year which may be extendable upto 3 years.

Jr. Resident: Appointments will be given initially for a period of 6 months which may be extendable upto 1 year

Age limit: 63 years as on 28.2.2010.

 

Scale of Pay:

Professor: Rs. 37,400 - Rs. 67000 with higher initial of 39990 + Grade Pay Rs. 9500.

Associate Professor: Rs. 9000 - Rs. 40500 with higher initial of Rs. 23250 + Grade pay Rs. 8000.

Assistant Professor:Rs.9000-Rs.40500 with higher initial Rs.18600+ grade pay Rs.7000.

Demonstrator / Tutor: Rs.9000-Rs.40500 with higher initial Rs.15600+ AGP Rs.5400.

Sr. Resident: Consolidated pay of Rs. 24,360/-

Jr. Resident: Consolidated pay of Rs. 19,793/-

 

Allowances :

Allowances such as house rent allowances, dearness allowances, Spl. Pay & Medical Allowance etc as applicable to West Bengal Medical Education Service.

In addition to the above the rates of Non Practicing pay for the medical teachers would be as follows: •  For Professor /Associate Professor -25% of (Basic Pay& Grade pay) + Rs 10,000 per month.

•  For Assistant Professor/ Demonstrator / Tutor-25% of (Basic Pay & Grade Pay) + Rs.8,000 per month.Applicants presently working in Central / State Govt. will be offered pay protection as per rule.

General Conditions:

  •  Complete application in all respects and signed by the candidate should reach to the Registrar, The West Bengal University of Health Sciences,DD-36,Sector 1,Salt lake city, Kolkata - 700 064 within 26 th March 2010.

•  The envelope should be super-scribed with the post and discipline applied for.

•  Separate applications should be sent, if the candidate is applying for more than one post.

•  Self attested photocopies of the certificates of educational & testimonials showing experience etc. should be attached with the application.

•  Incomplete applications will be rejected without any intimation to the candidate.

•  Employees of Government or semi Government should apply through proper channel. They may send an advance copy in time.

•  No objection certificate should be submitted from the Employer during interview.

•  No TA/DA is permissible if called for interview.

•  Mere submission of application does not confer any right to the candidate

for being called for interview.

•  The posts is/are full time & private practice of any kind is prohibited.

•  Reservation of posts as per rule of Government of West Bengal.

•  The application form will be available in the Web site: www.thewbuhs.in also from the University on payment of Rs. 20/- per application form.

•  The decision of the West Bengal University of Health Sciences is final.

•  Appointees are required to serve for a probationary period of 2 years.

•  Three months notice needs to be served form either side before termination of service.

•  The application forms are to be submitted with a non refundable demand draft of Rs 500/- for General candidate & Rs 250/- for SC & ST candidates payable to "the West Bengal University of Health Sciences" at Kolkata.
