Qualifications:

• Professor/Associate Professor/Assistant Professor: Ph.D. with first class or equivalent in the appropriate branch with a very good academic record
  throughout. An outstanding professional, working in industry with established reputation and having made significant contribution to knowledge but
  not having a Ph.D. degree, could also be considered in exceptional case.
• Research Associate: Postgraduate degree in relevant discipline with minimum 55% marks for General/OBC and 50% marks for SC/ST candidates.

Experience:

• Professor - Minimum 10 years in Teaching/Research/Industry experience at appropriate level of which at least 3 years
  should be at the level of Associate Professor or equivalent and should have good research publications.
  Experience of supervising research is essential.
• Associate Professor - Minimum 8 years Teaching/Research/Industry experience at appropriate level of which at least 3 years should be at the level of Assistant Professor or equivalent and should also have good research publications. Experience of supervising research is desirable.
• Assistant Professor - Minimum 03 year Teaching/Research/Industry experience Good research publications are essential.
• Research/Faculty Associate - Minimum 01 year Teaching/Research/Industry experience at appropriate level. Good research publications are desirable.
• Note: Research Publications must be in National/International refereed Journals with good impact factors/grading or Proceeding of Conferences
  organized by National/International Institutes or Universities of repute.
  The qualification and experience prescribed above are the minimum and mere possession of the same shall not entitle any candidate to be
  called for interview. The number of post at each level are not fixed as flexible staff structure is adopted in the University.

Pay Scales:

• Professor - PB-4(37400-67000 with AGP of Rs. 10500/-PM). Minimum pay in the Pay band-Rs. 48,000 Plus AGP
• Associate Professor - PB-4(37400-67000 with AGP of Rs. 9500/-PM). Minimum pay in the Pay band-Rs. 42800 Plus AGP
• Assistant Professor - PB-3(15600-39100 with AGP of Rs. 8000/-PM). Minimum pay in the Pay band-Rs. 30,000 Plus AGP
• Research/Faculty Associate - Rs. 33,000 – Rs. 35,000 (consolidated)
• Note:Gautam Buddha University offers Pay Scales & Allowances similar to IITs and IIMs, as approved and adopted by its Board of Management
  from time to time.
