Applications are invited from Indian Nationals fulfilling the prescribed qualifications and experience for appointment to the under mentioned posts:

• Scientist-B : 24 posts (UR-14, SC-2, ST-5, OBC-2 , PH-1) in various disiplines, Pay scale : PB-3 Rs.15600-39100 grade pay Rs. 5400/-, Age : 30 years (as on 01/07/2010)

Application Fee : Rs.200/ - through bank Demand Draft drawn in favour of the "Secretary, ICFRE" payable at Dehradun from any Nationalized bank. The SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee.

Date and Time of candidates test and /or interview: To be intimated later to the eligible
candidates, separately.

Place of Written Examination:

• The written examination will be conducted at the Centres at,
  FRI, Dehradun, TFRI, Jabalpur, AFRI, Jodhpur, RFRI, Jorhat, IFGTB, Coimbatore, IWST,
  Bangalore, HFRI, Shimla & IFP, Ranchi. The candidates are required to indicate atleast three
  (3) centres in order of preference. The Council reserves the right to allot an examination centre other than order of preference. After allotment of examination centre, request for change of examination centre shall not be entertained in any circumstances and the candidate will have to appear at the allotted centre at his/her expenses.

General Instructions:
(i) Mere fulfilling of the minimum advertised qualification and experience requirements,
DO NOT automatically entitle an applicant to be called for test and/ or interview.
(ii) All the applications received within due date in response to this advertisement shall be
considered for short-listing by a screening committee and a standing committee, and
only the candidates recommended by the screening committee and standing committee
will be called for test and/or interview. The decision of the Council on short-listing will
be final and the Council will not entertain any correspondence in this respect.
(iii) Qualifications and other requirements for any post may be relaxed, at the discretion of
the Council, in respect of candidates otherwise well qualified.
(iv) Candidates are required to pay non-refundable application fee of Rs.200/-(Rupees two
hundred only) through bank Demand Draft drawn in favour of the “Secretary, ICFRE”
payable at Dehradun from any Nationalized bank. No other mode of payment of
application fee is acceptable. Separate applications should be submitted along with
Demand Draft of Rs.200/- for each post, if a candidate wishes to apply for more than one
posts.
(v) The SC/ST/PH candidates are exempted from the payment of the application fee. In the
case of Physically handicapped candidates, this exemption will however, be available to
only those handicapped persons who would otherwise eligible for appointment to the
post on the basis of standards of medical fitness prescribed for the posts by the
Government of India.
(vi) Candidates are required to send two additional photographs separately along with the
application with their name written at the back side of the photograph in capital letters.
(vii) Persons working in Central/State Government/Public Sector
Undertakings/Autonomous Organizations should submit their applications through
proper channel within due date.
(viii) The applicants belonging to SC/ST categories will be entitled to T.A. as per provisions of
Ministry of Finance (Deptt. of Expenditure) O.M. No.19014/3/77-E.IV(B) dated.
17.02.1978.
(ix) Incomplete applications in any respect, or application submitted not as per the prescribed
proforma, or received after the last date shall be summarily rejected.
(x) If at any stage, it is found that any information by the applicant is suppressed or false,
his/her candidature/selection shall to be rejected or cancelled.

How to Apply : Interested candidates should submit their application typed on A-4 size paper as per the prescribed proforma alongwith attested copies of marksheets, certificates, degree, etc. to the Registrar, Recruitment Board, Indian Council of Forestry Research and Education, P.O. New Forest, Dehradun - 248006 on or before 10/05/2010.
