How to apply : Application duly signed giving name, date of birth, permanent and present address, religion, caste, qualification starting from HSC with percentage of mark secured and work experience with copies of all self attested certificates along-with two self attested pass-port size photographs should reach the Secretary, Paradip Port Trust, At/Po: Paradip Port, Orissa, Pin : 754 142 latest by 05/12/2011. Persons in the employment of Government/Semi-Government/PSU and autonomous body must apply through proper channel or produce a No Objection Certificate from the employer at the time of interview. The application should be type written. Incomplete or late application will summarily be rejected.
General Instructions:
1. Tenderers should submit their offer in two envelopes clearly superscribing the name of work and the 1st envelope should contain the EMD in shape of Demand Draft/Banker's cheque drawn in favour of FA & CAO, PPT payable at Paradip. The 2nd envelope should contain the price bid.
2. The tenderers submitting the tender after downloading from the website shall have to furnish the proof of the fees of the tender documents along with attested Xerox copy of the contractor's licence in a separate sealed cover superscribing “Fees of tender documents” failing which his bid will not be opened and returned unopened. In case of downloaded tender document, the fees of Tender Paper will be reduced by Rs.100.00 (Rupees one hundred) only from the notified tender paper cost.
3. To avoid any discrepancy between the downloaded tender document and hard copy of the tender documents, the tenderer becoming the L1 shall have to sign the hard copy of the tender documents duly filled in which would form part of the Agreement.
4. The tenders will be received upto 13.00hrs on the date of submission of tender i.e. on 15.11.11 in the tender box placed at the office of the undersigned, office of the C.E., PPT & C.I.S.F Gate
5. The tender shall be opened in the office of the undersigned at 15.30 hrs on the schedule date of submission of tender paper i.e. on 15.11.2011 or any subsequent date as may be decided by the undersigned.
6. Over and above the E.M.D, tenderer quoting the rebate more than 15% (Fifteen Percent) on the cost of work put to tender shall have to pay an ‘Extra Additional Security Deposit' (E.A.S.D) depending upon the amount calculated and defined in the tender document.
7. The tender should strictly be in accordance with the terms mentioned in the tender call notice and detail tender call notice. Tender containing extra conditions, not covered by Tender Call Notice are liable for rejection.
8. The successful tenderer, hereinafter called “THE CONTRACTOR” will be responsible for payment of royalties, tollage, patent charges for the items of work or executing a part of work. All local taxes including Sales Tax, VAT, Income Tax, Cess, ferry and tollage charges ,
9. The tender may not be considered or is liable for rejection unless the tender is accompanied with a certified true copy of the up-to-date Income Tax and Sales Tax clearance certificate.
10. The contractor should be fully liable to indemnify the Paradip Port Trust against payment of any compensation under Workmen's compensation Act-VIII of 1923 on account of workmen employed by him and the full amount of compensation paid will be recovered from the contractor.
11. If, however, in the interest of work, any material(s) other than mentioned in Clause-12 are to be issued by the Department on request of the contractor. The rates will be fixed for such issue as per prevailing rate of the Department.
12. Every tenderer is expected, before quoting rates to have inspected the site of work, the drawings available in the Division office or CE's office, quarries and should satisfy himself about the condition of the site, quality, availability and lead of materials.
13. The items not covered in the tender will be executed at rates as stipulated in Clause 11.2.2.1(Power of Engineer to fix rate)-CONDITIONS OF CONTRACT OF PARADIP PORT TRUST (taking the baseline as tender percentage over SR, similar item rate & market rate for non-scheduler items-shall be basis for extra item analysis of rates.
14. Percentage excess/ less over estimated cost ( mentioned in Bill of Quantity) must be quoted in the last page of Bill of Quantity of tender schedule and splitting them up to the choice of the tenderer will not be entertained. In case of ambiguity, the tender shall not be considered
